This is the design diagram for the bottom of the DN200 guided wave tube. I would like to ask everyone: what is the purpose of the stainless steel reflector plate at the bottom of the guided wave tube? The radar level gauge we are using now is a planar flexible cable-type guided wave radar level gauge; the weight at the bottom will come into contact with the reflector plate, which prevents the flexible cable from remaining vertical. In this case, is the reflector plate still necessary?
A reflector is used to reflect clutter; when this clutter encounters the reflector, it is reflected at a certain angle in other directions, thereby preventing interference with the echoes
If the cable is not vertical, the measurements will definitely be inaccurate; use a weight in the form of a reflector plate.
