It is known that the daily water circulation volume is 3828 m3/day, which is equivalent to 159.5 m3/h. What size circulation tank would be sufficient? Which standard? Please give your advice
We have a 1,000-cubic-meter chilled water tower and a 100-cubic-meter above-ground tank here. Multiple sets are operating normally. For a small cooling tower like yours, you just need the complete set of equipment along with a pump; no tank is required.
The flow rate for 5 minutes is pretty much the same!
Based on the hourly flow rate you provided, a circulation tank with a capacity of up to 60 cubic meters should be sufficient. According to the specifications in GB50050, and based on statistics from engineering design data, the water volume of a circulating water system is generally less than 1/3 of the hourly flow rate of the circulating cooling water. Practical operating experience from factories in China shows that this value is sufficient to ensure the safe operation of the system; for industries such as metallurgy, power generation, and oil refining, this requirement can be relaxed appropriately.
