My company is conducting research on MVR evaporation units. I would like to ask those of you in this forum who have used MVR evaporation systems: can the operational flexibility of MVR really reach ±20%? Then, the operational flexibility of MVR is primarily constrained by the compressor or other factors
First, biases in the original data lead to deviations in the design selection; Second, the MVR technology is also constantly being refined; inconsistencies in the properties of the materials can lead to errors in selection ; Third, the impact of design, manufacturing, and installation precision! Where are you from? Let’s exchange more ideas on wastewater treatment!
The MVR steam compressor, through variable frequency control, can achieve an operating flexibility of up to 50%-100%
Strictly speaking, when the design of elements such as the system heat exchanger area, crystallizer diameter and height, as well as circulation pump parameters is appropriate (taking into account the flexible range of processing capacity), it mainly depends on the operational flexibility of the compressor (for controlling the gas flow rate). 1. For Roots compressors, the air intake volume of the compressor is controlled by regulating the liquid phase evaporation temperature through the control system; 2. For centrifugal compressors, the key factor is the operational range of the performance curve during design; if the operating point on the flow-rate vs. pressure ratio curve is too low, it can lead to surge (backflow caused by excessive outlet backpressure), while if the operating point is too high, it can result in blockage (high current in the compressor motor, which affects the motor) ; In short, flexible operation is still controllable; it mainly depends on whether the process design package is reasonable.
Are there any companies willing to invest? Our company has a type of salt that needs to be concentrated. At present, a three-stage concentration system is used; in theory, it can be modified to an MVR system, which would help save steam. The excess steam can be supplied to other factories in the vicinity, at a price of around 250 yuan per ton ; Background: The number of boilers allowed in the industrial park has been restricted. Now the park plans to build many new factories, but there is a severe shortage of steam; steam that can be saved is in high demand. However, since the one-time investment amounts to around 3 million, the owner does not want to bear the risks of the renovation alone; therefore, he is seeking cooperation with a third-party investment company to jointly finance the renovation using the contract energy management model. The benefits resulting from the savings in steam consumption can be shared in a certain proportion, and theoretically, the costs can be recovered within 3 years.
For centrifugal compressors, it is necessary to specify the surge flow requirement at the time of ordering; otherwise, evaporative elasticity cannot be taken into account.
There are bypass valves in all of them, and as long as they are operated properly, surge will not occur
If the bypass valve is left open frequently, there will be no energy-saving effect!
Which system would keep the bypass valve open all the time? It only opens when there is a problem with the system or when it is turned on. Energy saving is achieved on the premise that the system continues to operate normally. It mainly depends on whether your system processes are functioning properly.
If the compressor doesn’t have enough surge margin, you might think of using a bypass valve, but then it will experience surging!
