In the new version of HG 20660-2017, the toxicity levels of many substances have been raised; for example, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide have been classified from moderately hazardous to highly hazardous, while sulfuric acid has been upgraded from moderately hazardous to extremely hazardous. But why was methanol removed from the list of moderately hazardous substances? Methanol can only be found among the explosively hazardous substances – what’s going on here? Was it a standard omission? Was it deliberately deleted? Could someone give me some advice?
I checked it myself, and it seems that methanol is now classified as having a low level of hazard
