Do hydrogen peroxide storage tanks need a nitrogen seal and a vent valve? Does it belong to pressure vessels?
Sir, may I ask if a nitrogen blanketing system and a vent valve are required for the hydrogen peroxide storage tank?
Should we simply set the vent pipe to be connected to the atmosphere?

Hydrogen peroxide does not require nitrogen sealing or a breathing valve
The hydrogen peroxide storage tank does not require a nitrogen blanket, and its vent can be discharged directly into the atmosphere. When storing hydrogen peroxide, the main concerns are 1) its decomposition, and 2) the risks posed by its oxidizing properties. It decomposes into water and oxygen, and releasing it directly into the atmosphere is not a problem; however, measures must be taken during design to prevent its decomposition.
Sealing needs to be done, right? Otherwise, won’t the hydrogen peroxide get oxidized? ? ? Personal opinion, the actual situation – I don’t know either
According to Clause 8.1 of GB/T 1616-2014 \"Industrial Hydrogen Peroxide\", an exhaust vent is provided on the hydrogen peroxide storage tank, allowing air to flow directly into the tank. Secondly, the boiling point of hydrogen peroxide is 150.2°C, and its saturated vapor pressure is less than 88 Kpa at 37.8°C. In accordance with the requirements of the \"Design Code for Storage Areas in Petrochemical Storage and Transportation Systems\" SH3007-2014, hydrogen peroxide storage tanks should be atmospheric pressure tanks, and there is no need to install an inert gas sealing system.
