For the vapor equilibrium pipelines in liquefied hydrocarbon storage tanks and equipment in the production workshops, the height difference is roughly as shown in the diagram. Since there are no devices of high height in the plant’s pipe corridors, U-shaped bends will form. What problems might this cause, and how should it be addressed?
In the gas phase, there must be no condensation to prevent back-siphoning.
If, due to the actual conditions on site, it is indeed difficult to avoid a bag-shaped structure in the vapor equilibrium tube, then reliable heating can be provided for the pipeline in that bag-shaped section in order to prevent the formation of condensate. It is recommended to use electric heat tracing with an adjustable heating temperature in order to adapt to the operating temperature of the storage tank as well as changes in seasonal temperatures.
