SDS soda-based dry desulfurization involves a purely dry reaction process at high temperatures with high efficiency; it is limited by the high cost of raw materials, but is suitable for ultra-low emission processes for flue gases with low sulfur content. The disposal of dry/semi-dry desulfurization ash has always been a challenge. Technologies for converting and reusing these materials through dedicated production lines are already mature; calcium-based desulfurization ash can be used as a raw material in construction materials after oxidation, while sodium-based desulfurization ash can be used as an additive after oxidation. However, such technologies have not yet been widely adopted. Moreover, typical owners will certainly not build their own production lines to handle this waste if they have other processing options available. Landfilling is not a solution; we will not discuss it. What are the various possible uses for Nakki desulfurization ash: as a decolorizing agent in paper mills, as a raw material in glass factories, as a raw material for the production of mirabilite, or as a cement retarder? Which of these uses is the most direct and has the highest potential for industrial implementation?
Pulp mill decolorants, raw materials for glass factories, raw materials for the production of mirabilite, and cement retarders – among these options, I think the difficulty of utilization increases from one to another; after all, there are some solid impurities in the ash, giving it a gray color. Cement additives are used in the widest range of applications, and their price is likely to be low as well; The price of mirabilite is not high either, and its manufacturers are not widely distributed ; It is feasible for use in glass production ; I don’t know much about the papermaking industry
Cement additives are indeed the most convenient, yet the amount of retarder used seems to be very small, resulting in low consumption. I’m very interested in this use of raw materials in glass factories, but I know quite little about it. :L
Raw materials for glass factories and those used in the production of mirabilite are relatively suitable, but due to factors such as low output and low purity, it is difficult to utilize them effectively
Hello, could you teach me about SDS desulfurization design?
