Currently, a foreign investor in one project has proposed building a three-dimensional warehouse type to save land use; Personally, I think this poses a high level of risk, but I couldn’t find any regulations that explicitly address this issue. I consulted with manufacturers of storage facility equipment, and it seems that there are no similar projects in China yet. I wonder if anyone knows of any relevant regulatory requirements: 1. Are there any restrictions on the building height for Class A warehouses? 2. Is there a limit on the maximum storage capacity for Class A warehouses? 3. Are there any similar projects?

Class A warehouses can have a maximum area of 750 square meters, with each fire compartment accounting for 250 square meters. It is possible to design them with high explosion venting, but the problem is that a vertical storage facility with an area of 250 square meters faces difficulties in operation. Moreover, the elevated warehouse has tracks on which trains run, and sparks may be generated during operation; therefore, all equipment must be explosion-proof, and the elevated warehouse needs to be equipped with sprinklers. There are no such cases at present; however, in the warehouse, pallets can be used to create two layers. If it’s too high, it becomes difficult for forklifts to handle barrels of liquid, and there’s also a higher risk of spillage.
