This facility utilizes the methane-carbon dioxide dry reforming process package jointly developed by China National Chemical Engineering Corporation Donghua and Gaolu Air; it is the only operating dry reforming demonstration plant in the world, marking significant industrial progress in the field of catalytic dry reforming in China. This process package uses methane and carbon dioxide as the main raw materials; together with the high-efficiency catalysts developed by the Shanghai Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, these materials are converted into syngas whose hydrogen-to-carbon ratio can be adjusted flexibly. This approach achieves breakthroughs in both scale and efficiency, optimizations in both process design and adaptability, as well as improvements in both the process flow and costs. At present, the syngas produced has been successfully connected to the grid, operating safely, stably, at full capacity, and with high quality. It has the capability to absorb 15,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, thereby fully demonstrating the feasibility, reliability, and advancement of the catalysts, the equipment, the key processes, and the control systems. This technology establishes an innovative path for emission reduction through \"the utilization of greenhouse gases and the conversion of them into high-value products,\" providing a replicable and scalable technical model for the low-carbon transformation of the industry. To date, this technology has seen 3 sets of industrial technology transfers completed. Looking to the future, Chinese chemical engineering will continue to drive the optimization, improvement, and large-scale application of methane-carbon dioxide dry reforming technology, actively supporting the green and low-carbon transformation of the chemical industry, and contributing its expertise to helping China achieve its \"dual carbon\" goals and pursue high-quality development.
