On April 29, the Quanzhou Ecology and Environment Bureau released the public information regarding the construction project for which approval decisions are to be made (the pentaerythritol project of Fujian Baihong Chemical Co., Ltd.). Our bureau intends to approve the environmental impact assessment document for the pentaerythritol project of Fujian Baihong Chemical Co., Ltd. The basic information of the environmental impact assessment document to be approved is now being made public. Public display period: April 30 – May 9, 2026 (5 working days). Project Name: Pentaerythritol Project of Fujian Baihong Chemical Co., Ltd. Construction site: Nanshan Area, Quangang Petrochemical Park, Quangang District, Quanzhou City. Construction unit: Fujian Baihong Chemical Co., Ltd. Environmental impact assessment agency: Quanzhou Huada Environmental Protection Research Institute Co., Ltd. Project Overview: The project is located in the Nanshan area of the Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park. The main construction involves the establishment of a 30,000-ton pentaerythritol production facility, along with a supporting 85,500-ton formaldehyde production facility. The site includes one building for formaldehyde reaction processes (including a fan room), one building for pentaerythritol condensation processes, and one building for crystallization. Corresponding tank areas, warehouses, vehicle loading/unloading zones, as well as environmental protection facilities for wastewater treatment and exhaust gas treatment are also built. In addition, backup steam, desalinated water, and sewage pipelines are constructed between Baihong Chemical and Baihong Petrochemical; some of the utility systems, auxiliary facilities, and environmental protection systems make use of the existing infrastructure already in place at the plant. The production capacity is 30,000 tons per year of pentaerythritol products (including 19,500 tons of 95% monopentaerythritol and 10,500 tons of 98%/99% monopentaerythritol), as well as 85,500 tons of formaldehyde intermediates; additionally, 1,200 tons of 90% dipentaerythritol and 19,700 tons of 96% sodium formate are produced as by-products. The product plan, production scale, process equipment, changes and adjustments, as well as the specific construction details shall be subject to the approval specified in the \"Report\".
