According to Sinochem New Network, Clariant showcased its latest portfolio of innovative additive solutions at the CHINAPLAS 2026 international plastics exhibition. This portfolio demonstrates how additive products can help the plastics industry address current challenges such as regulatory compliance, supply chain resilience, reducing carbon footprints, and promoting a circular economy, thereby contributing to more sustainable development in this industry. At the exhibition, Clariant unveiled its AddWorks PPA series of solutions, offering a new option for the film extrusion industry that is free from perfluoro and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). This innovative formula can effectively eliminate apparent defects on shark skin surfaces, reduce material buildup in the die, and improve extrusion efficiency, while also meeting the recyclability requirements outlined in EU regulations on packaging and packaging waste. In addition, Clariant has introduced the new Exolit OP 1266 flame retardant, designed specifically for 800V+ high-voltage electric mobility applications; it is free of antimony and halogens. The renewable rice bran wax additive Licocare RBW has received global approval for use in food contact applications, while also helping to reduce the carbon footprint. The new titanium-based catalysts for polyesters utilize an antimony-free system, which enables lower processing temperatures, reduced energy consumption, and improved color performance of polyester products – applicable to all types of polyester materials, from virgin polymers to recycled ones.
