868I ultrasound fault?

Our plant’s water source is equipped with two 868 ultrasonic flowmeters. Recently, the instantaneous flow rate has been experiencing very large fluctuations, and it often shows a negative value. We reinstalled the probes and reconfigured the flowmeters themselves, setting the correction factor to 0.6, but the problem still persists. We seek help from those who know how to resolve this issue.

We can only give you some minor suggestions; we’ve never seen such conditions in practice, so it’s just theoretical talk. You need to calm down and analyze things step by step, starting from the operating conditions of the medium... the installation and calibration of the instruments... external disturbances, and so on
