TT=Temperature Transmitter – an integrated temperature transmitter. TE= Temperature Element, which is a temperature sensor without a display? TG=Temperature Gauge – a temperature measuring device; it usually refers to local instruments such as bimetallic thermometers, or integrated temperature transmitters with digital displays TI=Temperature Indicator: a display of temperature, usually showing the indoor temperature. TW=Thermowell: the protective sleeve for thermometers, that is, the casing. I’ve never seen non-temperature ones, and I don’t understand them either.
