When performing suppression, knowing the tank height and the actual liquid level, is tank height – actual liquid level = suppression range? If it is within the suppression range, can the suppression value be chosen arbitrarily?
Different brands might be a bit different. As I understand it, the radar has its own rules for signal processing; if false values are still produced after the radar processes the signals on its own, then manual intervention is required to carry out echo suppression a second time. In other words, it are humans who determine the rules for how the radar should process the detected signals, and the radar carries out those rules. The entire range is the suppression area; the specific value of suppression depends on the actual liquid level echo
Theoretically, that’s the case, but in practice it isn’t; the interference signal is suppressed where it is located. Personal opinion.
Echoes that are above the actual liquid level will be suppressed and removed, provided that the interference echoes are weaker than the actual echoes. If the interference signals are much stronger than the actual echo signals, they generally cannot be suppressed
