What common faults can occur with the temperature transmitter 3144?; How to deal with it.
Rosemount’s products, once properly set up, should not malfunction
In case of any malfunction, turn to Rosemount. Since this product is so expensive, it’s essential to have Rosemount handle it.
First, check the settings by yourself; if the problem still can’t be resolved, it’s not too late to contact the supplier
If it does not malfunction under normal use, and if the transmitter and sensor are not delivered as an integrated unit, high output readings may occur during installation due to inconsistencies in the wiring and configuration settings; this can be resolved by using a 475 device. Rosemount temperature transmitters come standard with a four-wire system, unless otherwise specified requiring a different wiring setup
There are several reasons related to temperature: 1. Water gets into the transmitter, causing fogging on the LCD display. 2. The solder joints of the original components on the circuit board are poorly soldered, resulting in unstable readings. 3. Severe corrosion at the rivets of the aluminum casing on the surface. This is related to the marine environment. 4. Corrosion at the circuit board solder joints is related to the fact that the cover was not tightened properly by the installer. I’m being factual here: 3144 is good enough, but there are still many problems
