Issues with Siemens positioner calibration

During the commissioning of the new valve, it was found that the Siemens valve positioner was showing incorrect values; the DCS set the value to 100%, but the large display on the positioner’s LCD screen showed 86. Is this normal? The small digits on the locator’s LCD screen should represent feedback, right? There is some discrepancy between these and the set value, which is the larger number – is that normal?
It’s not normal; adjust it properly according to the instructions
There must be a problem here; we need to adjust the opening degree before putting the new valve into use. We mainly set the DcS opening at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, and obtain feedback by checking the current
The smaller number represents the percentage of current value provided by the DCS, while the larger number is the percentage when the valve is in its normal operating position
The locator needs to be initialized; check the instructions – it’s very simple.
