Could everyone help me figure out whether these balance vessels are single-chamber or double-chamber?
Just by looking at the appearance, how is that possible to tell?
With such questions, we don’t know how to answer them. You need to describe whether your container is sealed or open.
A balance vessel is used for measuring the liquid level in a boiler’s drum; it is generally not used elsewhere. What you have here is probably just a communicating vessel.
It is impossible to determine from the appearance whether it is a balanced container； If it is confirmed to be a balanced container, it must be double-chambered ； A single-chamber equilibrium vessel is defined only in principle; its actual structure and operation are not very different from those of a regular condenser.
The first one is double-chambered, the second one is single-chambered, and the third one functions like a water seal.
