It cannot be used – the torque tube is extremely thin, usually less than 1 mm. Using corrosive substances could lead to serious consequences; acids must definitely not be used. The best approach is to cut it out, remove any large impurities, and then blow it clean with steam. There’s no need to worry about heat, but corrosion is a concern. Also, don’t disassemble it casually – the gasket inside is disposable; once you remove it, it can’t be put back in, and its positioning will also be affected.
