I would like to ask if wedge flow meters don’t have an installation direction?
I really hadn’t paid attention to this issue before; I always installed it following the flow direction.
The measuring tube has an installation direction; it will definitely work if installed in the opposite direction, but the range corresponding to the differential pressure may be different
There are requirements regarding straight sections; if installed on a vertical pipe, it is best for the flow to be upward

Wedge flow meters are always installed in conjunction with differential pressure sensing elements; if the differential pressure sensing system can identify the high and low pressure sides and switch measurements automatically, then it doesn’t matter what the direction of fluid flow is. However, if the differential pressure detection system cannot automatically adjust its measurements in response to changes in the flow direction of the medium, it is better not to measure reverse flow.
Same as the installation direction of the orifice plate, to prevent bubbles or liquid
There is no direction requirement; in fact, it is capable of measuring bidirectional flow.
Theoretically, no; who knows how each manufacturer makes it.
