Is there any length requirement for the instrument air duct from the air source distributor to the valve?

The design drawings do not specify the length; I would appreciate it if fellow sailors could help answer this question
No requirements are specified in the standards. However, each valve manufacturer has practical requirements; generally, they require that the small-diameter section of the distributor not be longer than 10–15 meters, otherwise it will affect the performance of the valves.
There are no specific restrictions, but the shorter it is, the better. If your gauge is connected via a thin tube to a location 10,000 kilometers away, just imagine how high the pressure in the gas supply would need to be, as well as the amount of time delay that would occur
There are indeed no specific requirements for this, but everything still needs to be reasonable. First of all, the pressure at the valve must be ensured; generally speaking, the pressure of the air supply is fixed and cannot be adjusted arbitrarily, so it’s naturally not possible to have a very long distance between them. Usually, 10 to 20 meters is sufficient; if it’s longer, larger pipes need to be considered, or a gas storage tank can be added.
