To conduct gas combustion experiments, a flow meter is needed to measure the methane flow rate. The flow rate is 2-6 Nm3/h. Powered by industrial methane cylinders. The supply pressure after depressurization is 2-3 Kpa. Is there anyone who is an expert in product selection who can give some recommendations? The price is around 1000.
Buy a gas meter! ! There’s no other way!
You can get a glass tube rotameter for 1000 yuan
It is necessary to measure instantaneous flow rate, but gas meters do not have this function.
Can this be used directly to measure methane flow? It seems that the rotor needs to be redesigned based on the gas temperature and pressure.
What’s the caliber? The flow rate range is relatively small. A thermal gas mass flow meter can be used. Piped type, but at this price of yours. It’s likely nothing can be bought. We specialize in flowmeters.
DN20 pipe. Maybe this price is indeed a bit low. Thanks for the suggestion!
No problem. First, since the pressure is so low, the rotor depends on the density of the gas; second, the temperature of the gas isn’t very high either, so the density remains essentially constant. If very high accuracy in flow measurement is required, a rotameter is not suitable.
The poster has set a price limit, so you can only choose a rotameter; discussing accuracy doesn’t make any sense in that case, after all, the requirements aren’t high.
Today I inquired about a vortex flow meter, DN15, priced at 900 yuan. Can this flow meter give accurate readings? Because the vortex flowmeters I saw before weren’t cheap at all.
How is a vortex street sensor made for 900 yuan?
