A pneumatic cut-off ball valve is equipped with a solenoid valve and a limit switch; the solenoid valve is used to control the open and closed states. For a pneumatic three-way cut-off ball valve, such as one with an L-shaped valve position, are there three states: two directions of flow and the closed state? How is it controlled by a solenoid valve?
Generally, a three-way valve also has two directions of flow; among the three flow channels, one can be selectively connected to either of the other two. There is no closed state – it can only be set to allow flow into one channel or the other. That’s why solenoid valves and similar devices function in a similar manner. .
Ordinary solenoid valves can only control 2 states, right? Three-way ball valves have 3 switching states
