Dear everyone: Have you used jacketed valve butterfly valves? The jacketed valve butterfly valves used in our company’s sulfur processing unit have not worked well; we have tried products from Hualin and Sino-German, but their performance has been unsatisfactory. Please recommend any models that work well.
Are you referring to the clamped type? Shanghai Huatong is good.
The jacketed butterfly valve you’re referring to is probably the type with a thermal insulation jacket, right? We use those produced by Shanghai Valve Factory, and they work very well. Suzhou Newway also manufactures such valves, as does Shanghai Electric General (formerly Nairise). It’s just that Shanghai Electric has too limited production capacity, which results in slow delivery times, which is quite annoying.
I’ve never heard of this brand. Have you used it in sulfur plants? Corrosion is very severe here.
Do you have their information? It is best to have a diagram showing the valve’s operating status on-site.
We generally use globe valves with insulated jackets.
I have also used ball valves with insulation jackets, but I have not used butterfly valves with insulation jackets: L
Is sulfur liquid sulfur? I used to use jacketed ball valves, from Zhongshan Tiewang; they were pretty good
Sorry, I made a mistake; we use ball valves, not butterfly valves. Sorry!
How is it not working? Is it a valve issue, or a jacket issue?~~
