The differential pressure of the air filter in Atlas compressors is the difference between the pressure behind the filter element and atmospheric pressure. So which pressure is subtracted from which pressure? What does it mean when the differential pressure is negative? Currently, the unit is showing an alarm for the minimum differential pressure
I’m not sure what kind of air filter controller you are using. The Atlas compressors in our ASU units are controlled by a microcontroller; there is a differential pressure transmitter within that controller, with the positive pressure side connected to the atmosphere and the negative pressure side connected to the back of the air filter element. It’s impossible for the differential pressure value to be negative, right? Was the pressure sensing tube on the negative-pressure side removed and connected to the positive-pressure side instead?
On my end, there is a single pressure value located behind the air filter; it seems to be the differential pressure calculated by subtracting the atmospheric pressure from that value. The range of this differential pressure value is -0.172 to 0.172 bar

So where do you get the value of atmospheric pressure outside? Atmospheric pressure isn’t a constant value; it changes as humidity, temperature, and other factors change
