How many control cables are appropriate to lay in the cable tray? Are there any relevant standards and specifications? I would appreciate guidance from those who are more experienced.
It should not exceed 80% of the cross-section of the trough box.
HG/T20512-2014 8.3.6 The cable filling factor for cable trays should be 0.3~0.5. SH/T3019-2016 7.2.6 The filling factor of cables in the cable tray should be between 0.25 and 0.35.

Does this fill factor refer to the cross-sectional area of the tray? Please offer corrections
It shouldn’t exceed half of the depth of the slot box; if too much is piled up, it will affect the cable’s heat dissipation. Especially electrical cables, the temperature inside them can be very high.
The filling factor generally refers to the ratio of the total cross-sectional area of the cable to the cross-sectional area of the tray.
Discussions in the instrumentation section generally do not refer to electrical cables.
