This is my first time working on a salt packaging project, with powdered salt as the material involved. The installation location is on the discharge pipeline of the powdered salt silo. The client has temporarily decided to use clamp valves, but there are a few issues I’m not sure about; I hope everyone can offer some guidance: 1. Regarding the choice of material. The information I found online states that the structure of a clamp valve is relatively simple; it only mentions the materials used for the valve body and the rubber hoses. I’m not sure if there are any other components for which material selection is necessary (Our design drawings usually specify the materials for the valve body, valve core, valve seat, and packing.) 2. Regarding the selection of the actuator. Now that a pneumatic actuator has been chosen, I wonder which type of action mechanism should be selected for it? Piston-type? Film type? 3. Online sources claim that clamp valves cause no pressure loss – is that true? ? I’m still inexperienced; this is my first time using a clamp valve. Thank you all for your guidance.
