This level gauge has been in use since I arrived here, and it has been very stable; however, a few days ago it suddenly showed 9.80 meters. The full-scale range is set at 10 meters, and the liquid being measured is hydrochloric acid. There was also no code indicating that no echo could be received; regardless of the distance, whether it was close or far, the range display remained unchanged at all. Only after turning off the power supply and then turning it on again. There will be a normal liquid level display for about 10 seconds, after which the level keeps rising until it reaches the full scale. What could be the cause of this, and can it be fixed?

It’s possible that the circuit board is damaged; does the gauge display E14 or E13? It’s best to take a photo of the echo curve for inspection. Additionally, radar level gauges actually have a diagnostic period of around 30 seconds when powered off and restarted; the current usually rises from 3mA to around 27mA. After the diagnosis is complete, it’s normal for the current to stabilize at 4-20mA. So the values you mentioned during the power-off restart are accurate, while the inaccurate values that appear later may also be due to a misunderstanding
