What major is required for a senior engineer in instrument design?

I need to apply for the senior engineer title in instrument design; it’s done online. I’m not sure which specialty to choose
I checked the relevant majors, but none of them matched; only Electrical Automation, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering are available； Electrical automation is the one that comes to mind. It really doesn’t matter whether one can be promoted to senior engineer; instrumentation is after all a branch of the electrical industry.
Electrical systems are, in essence, part of the field of strong electric power; they represent controlled execution units within automation. As for the instruments, they are related to low-voltage signal processing and belong to automated detection units. This relationship is completely clean and straightforward, and there’s a clear distinction in terms of teaching duties as well. It’s been decades since the system for evaluating professional titles was introduced, right? The Guo family hasn’t given any recognition to those working in the field of instrumentation; it’s really hard to understand. I can’t figure out what kind of grand strategy the top leaders are planning. .
