I have a few questions regarding industries with intermittent production. 1. When several 7300c units are empty, the liquid level indicator usually shows around 20%; it becomes normal when the level drops to 5%. Is it necessary to perform some operation while the tanks are empty? 2. When there is an empty tank, the level is shown at 65%; after running without any load, it shows 0%, and after a few days the level returns to around 65%. How can this be fixed?

You didn’t explain the operating conditions clearly enough. The name of the medium being measured, temperature, pressure, feeding method and location, as well as the installation location of the radar, all need to be provided. Also, it’s important to know whether the selection was appropriate when Cologne was used previously.
It seems there is a weak interference inside the tank; when the tank is empty, the radar detects this interference. As soon as material is fed in, the signal from the material becomes stronger than that of the interference source, and the radar can then detect the material.
The same is true for Siemens’ radar level gauges; this phenomenon occurs when measuring the level in tanks with flat bottoms, even when the tanks are empty. There’s no need to worry about it
