A beginner’s question: The XP366 is a digital signal input card. What exactly are digital signals? Are they the same as on-off signals? If not, then what type of instrument generates digital signals? I would appreciate it if the experts could explain this. Thank you!
Digital signals are binary signals, also known as BOOL values; typically, a voltage is sent for inspection, and when it returns, the DCS or PLC assumes that the valve or motor on site has moved.
A numerical signal consists of 1 and 0; in simpler terms, it represents on or off
Digital quantity refers to switch quantity; the D in DI stands for digital, and switch quantity is a common term used in China
