Siemens ET200SP, 1500 series, or 300 series IO modules

The price of Siemens ET200S or ET200SP remote IO modules is much lower than that of the 1500 series and 300 series modules. Wouldn’t that mean people would use remote IO modules instead? What are your thoughts on this issue?
Siemens’ future hardware is 1200 and 1500, and the software is TIA Portal. In the initial stage of a new product, high discounts are offered for promotional purposes, making it seem cheaper; however, the price will rise again later on. Using 1500 in combination with ET200SP is similar to using a 400 CPU together with an ET200M and a 300 IO card; it represents a relatively low-cost solution. The 1500 can also be equipped with ET200MP series IO cards; it’s similar to using a 400 CPU together with a 400 IO card, and it’s relatively expensive. So, given the requirements of safety and reliability, whether to choose the more expensive option or the cheaper one depends on your project budget.
