For combustible gas detection, there are audible and visual alarms at the detector itself, as well as high and low alarm levels in the alarm panel or DCS system. What is an appropriate setting for the alarm levels that trigger the interlocked fans? Does consistency are required?
Flammable gas alarm levels: The first-level alarm is set at 25% of the lower explosive limit, while the second-level alarm is set at 50% of the lower explosive limit.
According to the national standard GB50493, a level 1 alarm is set at 25% LEL, while a level 2 alarm is set at 50% LEL. Level 1 corresponds to an alarm, while Level 2 requires interlocking.
