This type of analysis involves introducing a quantitative liquid sample into the vaporizer of the chromatograph; the sample is vaporized through instantaneous heating, and then carried by the carrier gas to the chromatography column system where it is analyzed under specific chromatographic conditions. It’s not some special technique; it’s just a conventional gas chromatography analysis method using liquid injection. The analysis method used in laboratories is generally vaporization-split injection. The industrial chromatography of the Yokogawa, Ximen, and Asia families can all be achieved.
Conventional gas chromatography analysis can be used; samples are taken from branches in the pipeline, pre-treated, and then fed into the chromatography analysis unit. Before injection into the chromatograph, they are vaporized at high temperature and carried by the carrier gas into the chromatographic column. Once the analysis is complete, the sample is converted back to a liquid state and returned to the process pipeline.
