A pulse is a signal that appears for a few seconds before disappearing, while delay means waiting a few seconds after the signal arrives before sending it out.

Delayed ON and delayed OFF: Delayed ON means that when the ON signal is received, the device turns ON after a certain delay; delayed OFF means that when the OFF signal is received, the device turns OFF after a certain delay. As for pulse signals, they are generally used in DCS systems to remotely control motors equipped with self-locking circuits. Typically, the DCS sends an ON command; there are two possible scenarios: in the first scenario, a feedback signal indicating that the motor is on is received, and in that case the ON signal sent by the DCS is released. In the second scenario, no feedback is received, and the duration for which the ON signal remains active is determined by the DCS configuration – in our case it’s usually 15 to 20 seconds. This means that once a feedback signal confirming that the motor is on is received, the ON signal is immediately released; if no such feedback is received, it will still be released after 15 to 20 seconds at the most. The same principle applies to the pulse signal OFF as well.
