The company’s new factory requires a large number of instruments for monitoring electricity usage and water flow rates (for circulating water, chilled water, pure water, hot water, etc.). Additionally, it is also necessary to monitor oil flow rates. Does anyone have any instrument selection manuals? It would be ideal if a complete solution could be provided (instruments that can be connected to a central control system for centralized visualization).
Electricity is installed with the precision required by energy standards, making it an easy choice. Imported vortex flowmeters are used for pure water, while electromagnetic flowmeters are used for other types of water. High-precision gauges for oil product quality, bevel gears, etc.
Why use vortex flowmeters for pure water, or imported ones?
Pure water does not conduct electricity, so it cannot be used with electromagnets.
Since it is measured, imports are given priority. For vortex flow meters made in China, the 3 brands I’ve used none of which are accurate; moreover, the price differences aren’t that significant. As for electromagnets, the precision levels available both domestically and internationally generally meet the requirements; if your budget is limited, it is possible to use domestically produced ones. But the long-term accuracy and reliability are uncertain; obviously, it is the major foreign brands that offer guarantees. For electromagnets, the over ten units we imported have been in use for 15 years without any maintenance and have never broken down.

For circulating water, hot water, and chilled water, I recommend electromagnetic flowmeters; for pure water, I recommend coriolis mass flowmeters and turbine flowmeters. For oils, I recommend coriolis mass flowmeters, gear flowmeters, and helical rotor flowmeters. Feel free to ask for more details
It’s the first time I’ve heard of a mass flow meter being recommended for pure water―― they must be really wealthy!
