I’ve heard people in the industry say that Emerson’s DeltaV system is the most powerful DCS system – is that true?
Saying it’s the most powerful is basically nonsense. Just look at the market share – his share is even less than that of Honeywell and Yokogawa
What are the powerful features of DeltaV? Is the controller great? The DeltaV CHARM I/O is distinctive; ABB also offers Select I/O, while Honeywell and Yokogawa have standard I/O as well... The upper-level systems are definitely superior in terms of performance when it comes to Honeywell, and Invensys’ software used to be very good too……
As for whether it is powerful or not, and how to determine comparability, there is no institution that can make such judgments; therefore, as long as it can meet the needs of enterprise applications, it is the best and most powerful DCS.
DeltaV is also quite good to use, but it’s hard to say which one is the most powerful; each manufacturer has its own advantages as well as its own disadvantages. For large-scale foreign systems, we issue tenders for DeltaV, Honeywell, and Yokogawa.

It depends on how you use it; there are many control points, and it can get complex. I recommend using Honeywell
Honeywell has both PKS and TPS, and they’re terrible! It crashes for no reason every week. Compared to the Yokogawa CS3000 of the same period, it is maintenance-free. It’s not even as good as domestic ones. The best one is the HIMA system – it hasn’t had any cards fail in over a decade! ! Unparalleled! ! DeltaV hasn’t been used in recent years, but it’s still far better than the Honeywell system. In fact, Foxboro’s IA is quite good as well – its stability is much higher than that of Honeywell! !
It is recommended to check the market reaction before choosing a Honeywell system. It’s so bad!
