Are there any physical photos or images of the instrument grounding on site, along with the installation measures?
Protection grounding for field instruments? The signal ground for on-site instruments is floating; it is sufficient to connect the cable’s shielding layer to a terminal inside the junction box. In other words, in addition to the positive and negative terminals, an additional shielding terminal is used. The protective ground serves to ground the enclosure, and the instrument housing usually has screws for this purpose.
There are standard specifications for the grounding of industrial automation instruments; check those specifications and follow them.
For field instruments, electromagnetic flowmeters need to be grounded, while it is rare to see field grounding for other instruments.
