According to GB50493, Section 6.1 on detector installation: For detectors designed to detect toxic gases with a density greater than that of air, their installation height should be between 0.3 and 0.6 meters above the floor or floor slab. Does this height refer to the distance from the top of the detector to the floor, or rather to the distance from the lowest part of the sensing probe to the floor? Please advise
Check the explanation for version 2.0.9 of the terms. That is, the height of the detection port (probe). Most of the terms and wording in standard specifications are very precise. When reviewing standards, the most important aspects to focus on are the scope of application (general provisions), terminology, main text, and explanations of the provisions. Do not take things out of context. :)
It refers to the probe; it is not practical to install the probe directly on the ground, as it can be damaged by rainwater and debris or have its sensitivity reduced

It should be the air intake of the probe; the air intake of a probe is usually located at the bottom, so it must be the distance from the bottom to the ground
