Our unit has three Yokogawa vortex flowmeters, and currently we are facing the issue where, despite being in a static state (with both upstream and downstream valves closed and no pressure in the pipeline), the readings still fluctuate. There is no setting to adjust sensitivity in the operation interface. The measures currently taken include: adjusting the current output correction (with little effect); small-signal rejection (in some cases, the reading returns to zero after this measure is applied). What measures should be taken in this situation to ensure accurate readings of the flow meter (in the absence of a Hart communicator)?
The pipeline might be vibrating; remove it and check in the air to see if the readings remain stable
Have you observed any fluctuations in the readings, and has there been any change in the cumulative value after some time? If the pipeline is not vibrating and the small signals have been eliminated, meaning that all external factors have been ruled out, yet there are still fluctuations in the readings, I believe there is a problem with the flow meter itself, and it is necessary to consult the manufacturer for assistance.
This situation can basically be attributed to pipe vibration; the only solution for this issue is to try to reduce the vibration, and if its impact is minimal, the pipes can continue to be used.
