Seeking help with Siemens 200 programs

I’m a bit confused about a Siemens 200 program. I hope the experts here can help me. Requirements are as follows: 8 flow paths for sampling into one instrument, 8 solenoid valves, to analyze H2 content. After the start button is pressed, solenoid valve 1 opens for 4 minutes before closing, thereby opening the 8 solenoid valves in a repeating cycle. Due to the consideration of replacement time, the H2 content remains at the level of the flow path with the previous solenoid valve open for the first 2 minutes before analysis. I just drew a diagram randomly. . . . Is it easier to write programs using pointers, everyone? Please give some ideas. :handshake
Can’t this just be done with a simple timer? I didn’t understand this: “Maintain the flow rate in the path with the previous solenoid valve open for the first 2 minutes during H2 content analysis.”
