When using electromagnetic flowmeters, can platinum electrodes be used in mixtures of hydrofluoric acid and hydrochloric acid at room temperature, or in mixtures of hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid, with the concentration levels being around 10%-20%?
Platinum electrodes can be used with hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid, but their corrosion resistance is low when used in hydrochloric acid. Titanium electrodes are preferred for hydrochloric acid
