When I went to check the meters today, I encountered a single-flange transmitter with negative migration. Original range: -100kpa to -300kpa. The current pressure difference on the handheld controller is 0.5. Does this mean that the transmitter is damaged? (Empty can state)
The range is -100kPa to 300kPa; the current value is 0.5 KPa (the unit is as I understand it). Is there any problem with this? However, this single-flange type is likely designed to measure pressure within the range from negative pressure to positive pressure. If measuring the liquid level doesn’t provide an explanation.
It’s hard to say whether it’s broken; it might be due to an error in the transmitter. Since it’s for inspection, it should be taken apart for testing, and then everything will be clear.
In the empty can condition, the pressure gauge reading is 0.5 kPa; this indicates that there is a zero offset in the pressure gauge. If you adjust this offset, you’ll get the correct value. The range is 400; the gauge head is installed at a higher height than the flange, so it needs to be relocated! It doesn’t affect your DCS display! However, a reading of 0.5 indicates a problem. Place the flange and the gauge head on the same level and try zeroing them out; if that doesn’t work, check the condition of the diaphragm box
