What are the technical requirements for installing temperature transmitters?
If it is bimetallic, there are certain requirements regarding the insertion depth of the catheter. The following are some figures summarized by another member of the forum: The medium is high-temperature and high-pressure steam; when the nominal diameter of the pipe is 250 MM or less, the effective depth is 70 MM ； When the nominal diameter of the pipe is greater than 250 MM, the effective depth is 100 MM. For pipes with a diameter of 500 MM or less, used for carrying gaseous, vapor, or liquid media, the effective depth is approximately half of the pipe’s outer diameter. When the outer diameter is greater than 500 MM, the effective depth is 300 MM. For media such as smoke, air, and air-powder mixtures, the effective depth is between 1/3 and 1/2 of the pipe’s outer diameter.
Is the temperature transmitter 4-20mA? If so, it must be explosion-proof when used in hazardous environments; your temperature transmitter needs to be powered by 24V
The insertion depth of the sleeve should be between 1/2 and 2/3 of the pipe diameter.
