Our cabinets are located on an eight-meter-high platform, with the cable trays situated below that platform. The design team provided access holes underneath each cabinet, but unfortunately dust gets into the cabinets through those holes. We used foam to seal them off in the past, but the effect wasn’t very good. I’m seeking advice from experts: how should we deal with this situation in our cabinet rooms? There’s a layer of dust on the cabinet fixtures now; the environment here is really poor! ! ! ! ! !

I encountered such a problem in previous projects; using flame-retardant foam material for sealing gave very good results; I assume you are in areas such as boiler rooms where there is a lot of dust. If the cabinet room is not large and the company has instrument air available, try implementing slightly positive pressure ventilation in that room to reduce dust infiltration ; If the conditions do not permit it, the cable entry points in the interlayer (leading to the cabinets) can be enclosed separately using fireproof materials, creating a buffer area before the cables enter the cabinets; this should help to reduce the amount of dust that gets inside the cabinets. Additionally, the interlayer should also be kept as sealed as possible to reduce external dust from entering it; this is for reference only.
Since the reason is clear, it’s still just one word: blockage. The suggestions made upstairs are good; in particular, the mezzanine area needs to be sealed off first. I need to find a time to clean the dust from the DCS.
We used explosion-proof putty for sealing, and the result was excellent.
