Now, all chemical industries are required to establish dual-system frameworks, involving the identification of risk areas and risk points in each workshop and at each job position; In our company, the risk points within the instrumentation department include thermometers, level gauges, flow meters, pressure transmitters, control valves, gas detectors, DCS operation stations, DCS control stations, and so on ; But I don’t think this is very reasonable; if those measurement points are assigned to the instrumentation department, I won’t have anything else to do – I’d just have to check all of them, and that alone would take up the whole day ; I think these should be divided by workshop; for example, the phthalic anhydride workshop can be split into: oxidation area, hot-melting area, refining area, slicing area, fan room, and so on ; The corresponding instruments are located in the respective areas, and should not be considered separately as risk factors for the instrumentation department ; The instrument workshop is similar in nature to the process technology department and the maintenance workshop; all I need to do is keep daily work records, maintenance records, and inventory logs for the instruments.
