A push-button switch achieves the purpose of switching a circuit by pushing the switch handle to connect or disconnect the circuit. Common types include single-pole two-position, single-pole three-position, double-pole two-position, and double-pole three-position, etc. They are widely used in low-voltage circuits and feature flexible slider operation as well as stable and reliable performance. Based on current capacity, they are divided into low-current push-button switches and high-current push-button switches. (1) First, the appropriate type of switch and connector should be selected based on the operating conditions and functions. (2) The rated voltage and current of switches and connectors should have a certain margin. (3) To ensure reliable contact, the contacts of switches and the number of wires in connectors should also have a sufficient margin, so as to allow for parallel use or as spares. (4) It is advisable to use connectors with positioning features to prevent errors in connection that could lead to malfunctions. (5) The wiring and welding of contacts must be reliable; to avoid breaks in the wires or short circuits, the welded areas should be protected with sleeves. Push-button switches are becoming more common and smaller in size, and improving their performance while making them smaller and lighter is a goal that people are constantly striving to achieve.
