I would like to ask everyone: Article 5.4 of GB50058-2014 specifies certain requirements. Does this requirement apply to instrumentation cables or other cables used for low-voltage signal communication? Is there twisted pair cable for communication that is 1.5 mm thick?
All the wires for communication purposes have a cross-sectional area of over 1.5 square millimeters
There’s also a specification stating that for multi-core wires, it can be 1.0
For low-voltage applications, why use such thick wires?? I think it’s pure waste; 0.5 square millimeters is more than enough for low-voltage use. Cables have tensile strength, thanks to their damn shielding layers; relying on the core alone for tensile strength is complete nonsense. Afraid it will break, so buy a cable made of Jamaican steel wire.
One more thing: according to these specifications, how should RJ45 network cables and Profibus DP communication cables in explosion-proof areas be classified? ? ?
