Dear experts, regarding the upstream fittings of orifice flow meters and the definition of distance: if there are two or three fittings, how should the distance be defined? As shown in the figure. Are there any specific requirements for the distance between the second and third fittings and the orifice plate?
The distance is of course calculated from the nearest one, right?
Is there anyone who can help me understand the issue regarding the distance of the second fitting?/
There are no specific requirements regarding the distance between the second and third fittings and the orifice plate; however, when these fittings affect the measurement performed by the orifice plate, the pipe section upstream of the orifice plate flow meter must be extended to eliminate such effects.
I hope there is data support, such as a manual or something.
