I would like to ask everyone: for a (propylene) spherical tank with a diameter of 12.3 meters, is it appropriate to use a short-mounted pressure transmitter along with a dual-valve assembly? Should a flanged gate valve be used as the root valve? Also, with a short installation, will a 14*2 pressure tap pipe be sufficient, or should a 18*3 pressure tap pipe be used?
There is no problem with installing propylene spheres in a short time； 14×2 pipes are more than sufficient; however, 18×3 pipes will be stronger ；
Short installations of 14×2 are no problem; we have many such installation cases.
According to the pressure range specified in the process and the requirements of the construction specifications, simply install the pressure transmitter. For root valves, globe valves or needle valves are recommended, with 304 or 306 stainless steel as the material of choice. Both specifications of pressure tap pipes are fine.
