How is traffic accumulation calculated?

Our current method of calculation involves placing the process signal within the loop interrupt; each time the loop runs, the instantaneous data is added. Yet even so, there is still a significant difference between this value and the cumulative data shown in the table header； Speaking of this, does anyone have any better ways to accumulate traffic?
Based on the flow meter, it is determined how many milliseconds to collect data at intervals, and then the values are accumulated.
That’s the situation now: data is collected once every 0.5 units, and then accumulated, but this approach doesn’t yield very good results.
It should be more or less the same; I’m not sure if there’s a big difference for you
If you use a PLC to accumulate flow rates, it is done through interrupts, with the interrupt duration kept short. DCS are all pre-made blocks, and interrupts should also be used for that purpose.
